Professor Dave Explains is a YouTube channel belonging to David Farina. Dave taught Organic Chemistry at SCUHS, a trade university in the Los Angeles, CA area. To preserve some of his lectures, he recorded his presentations and put them up on YouTube. Due to the positive reaction he received from that, he continued on with basic chemistry lessons and started to add more animation to make the lectures more engaging and easier to understand. Roughly 10+ years later, the Professor Dave Explains channel has 1.22 million subscribers and prolific levels of content on science related topics. The History of Drugs contains high level crash course lessons on the history of diseases and afflictions, and how we as humans theorized and treated those ailments up through the ages. This project is a 'Ken Burns' style of documentary with some animation depending on the content being described.
